Have 2 of these and works when there is no AC powerAug 19, 2010 This works with 2 AA batteries and will charge a totally drained smartphone to at least 60% level. Makes more sense to bring rechargeable batteries to be extra eco-green friendly. Not expensive as iGo's Charge Anywhere rechargeable portable battery which I also own. Because it is not that expensive, I can give this to my son for his camping trips to charge his smartphone and if he loses the charger, he won't be in serious trouble. :-)
good productJun 13, 2010 size and shape are a bit awkward, but this powerXtender is universal, when combined with your iGo products. On its own, not as useful.
Great idea, works fabulously!Apr 22, 2010 I do a lot of travel and so I don't want to constantly worry that my Kindle or iPod will need to be recharged. This is perfect for me for both (I got both tips). I love it!! Great idea and it's small and compact...light enough to take with you anywhere...
Life SaverApr 02, 2010 I've been looking for a product like this for years and have been told it doesn't exist - I guess I was just looking in the wrong place! This little iGo is a life saver for anyone who has to travel with an iPod or other gadget. I will say that the batteries don't last long - I tend to only get a couple or few charges out of one set - but it is worth it. There's nothing worse than being stranded with a dead iPod. Even more, having a dead cell phone can potentially be dangerous, so this little credit card-sized charger is great. Plus, with the interchangeable heads, it works with almost any device. Great Product!

Excellent Value!Dec 19, 2009 I purchased this charger plus a iGo tip to power my iPod Touch during a week, quite literally, spent in a jungle. It worked like a charm, and for a lot cheaper than iPod specific products that claim to do the same thing. I would leave my iPod Touch connected and charging overnight, ready to use the next day (I was collecting some data using a custom app).
A regular set of AA Duracells would just barely charge the iPod Touch once, a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAs would charge the iPod completely about 2.5 times, and they weigh almost nothing.
I now also have tips for my cell phones and I carry this around when hiking, as a backup for my cell phone battery.
