A little too much pressure...Sep 18, 2006

First of all, don't buy this at Circuit City. You'll save a heck of a lot of money using Amazon instead.
As far as the headset, the volume is much louder than the headset from MS that comes with the 360. I've also heard that I come across much more clear using this headset, which is good. The louder volume is a big thing with me as I thought the original headset was just too low.
The big negative to the headset, as the previous user attested to, is the fit of the right side of the headset. It's just too tight on your head after a reasonable amount of gaming. Unfortunate too, because the rest of the headset is very high quality.

Failure with two purchasesNov 19, 2006

I thought judging by the look of the headset, large ear cup design, noise canceling microphone, EA, and NFL logo that this was going to be an excellent product. I was wrong.
With the first product the volume had to be turned all the way up and even then the sound was way to low. After a couple of tries nothing came through the headphones. I thought well its just a fluke.
Then I was shocked to learn that the second headset that I purchased produced no sound. Just occasional static. Both headsets were tried on both Microsoft wireless controllers and new batteries were put in. Both were connected properly.
I then purchased the Microsoft wired headset and it works great. Stick with Microsoft on this one. They also have a wireless version which would be worth checking out.
The other minor downside is the tight feel. With some people it may be an issue after prolonged gaming. The Microsoft headset has a lighter feel and is more comfortable.

So so headsetAug 29, 2006

I bought this headset because of the Motorola name and some other positive reviews. It seems solidly made, but I've had a few issues with it. First, I don't know if my head is too big but the non-cup side of the headset applies a decent amount of pressure such that after a while I have to move that side occasionally to prevent getting sore. This is despite having the headset expanded fully. Second, when the cord is brushed against (adjacent to the controller), sometimes I get some static despite the cord being inserted completely. Third, the part the actually inserts into the controller sometimes gets partially pulled out (when I'm playing Madden), which didn't happen with the standard headset. Overall the headset feels well-built, but does have some problems.

Better than the one you get for freeDec 24, 2006

I purchased this because with the wired headset you receive with you Xbox 360 produced nothing but static and was a general pain. I picked this headset up and after a quick setup and testing it worked great. The sound is clear and the on handle volume and muting are great. Great Product especially for the price.

Static and self removalOct 09, 2009

Overall the headset just isnt good. It comes unconnected on its own frequently and not by me accidentally pulling it out. if the connected part turns slightly it just shuts off on its own. it is like having an old tv with an antenna and you have to move it and move it til you get the best picture, then you cant so much as breathe without screwing it up. i also find it to be fairly uncomfortable. It starts to hurt your ear after awhile. i would not advise anyone to purchase this headset.
