My whole family plays this game!Mar 11, 2011
By J.T. We all love this game!We make up fun little competitions, like who can get the most right answers. My husband and I play this to brush up on our skills and spend time with the kids. The kids play because they love to beat their parents. We let them win sometimes to encourage them to play and improve in school. What I love the most about this game is that it is by grade level. It has grades 1-5 and is in 3d.I have one child in third and the other in fifth,so the game can stay competitive as they improve in each subject.

By Anna On the box it states that this game works with Windows 95/98, not XP as it is stated in the Amazon description. I tried installing it on Vista, and it won't even install. The game installed on Windows XP, but it runs with many bugs, hang ups, very slow, and it is almost impossible to exit this game (you need to do it through killing it from Task Manager.) Also we found Word Munchers to be very simplistic and boring. All it does is offer different lists of words from which you are supposed to pick words matching the description: nouns, verbs or vehicles, depending on the game category.

By Joshua I. Cooper Good game. Use it my 3rd grade classroom. It does require some tech savvy skills if you want to use it on Windows 7.

By J. Ibsen It's not the Word Munchers I remember as a kid but it does keep the kids entertained doing something that helps them learn.
