Fits, looks nice, does not stand up well.Nov 05, 2008

This cover is an attractive addition to the otherwise rather boring appearance of the Kindle. It fits easily over the Kindle leaving almost all buttons and outlets/ports available. It does have to be removed when accessing the SDHC slot inside the back/underside of the Kindle and when changing out the battery. Its main drawback is a lack of a good gripping surface on the base of the stand. This makes it hard to stand up and far too easy to knock over.

Not too BafJan 24, 2009

I tried this out for a while and its positives are: some protection from bumps and drops and it is better than some of the other silicone sleeves because it doesn't droop as bad on the bottom as others. However, while saying that it does droop and turning it on and off and using the wireless switch on the back can be a pain. The metal that holds it up to read like a stand broke through the silicone in places, which off balanced it and i found I didn't like it as well as holding it or laying it flat.

This fits like a cute little onesie for my Kindle, with cutouts for all the relevant buttons and switches. I LOVE the feel of the silicone, it is soft and velvety, like baby skin. The only flaw is the design and quality of the wire stand and the fact that there is nothing to keep it from sliding completely back, so if I were to be using it at, say, a restaurant table, I would have to place either the napkin holder box or a ketchup bottle behind it for support. I might have preferred a different color, but blue was the only one available when I ordered; frankly, however, it's just as well that I was spared the choice.
HERE is a quick fix for that pesky sliding stand -- if you want to take your Kindle to lunch and want it to stand on the table while you eat, here's what to do. You need a paper napkin and two pencils or drinking straws or, one straw if you can cut it in half. Unfold the napkin and refold it into a long, narrow rectangle. Now, fold that in thirds and turn it over so that the folded ends are on the bottom. Insert a straw or pencil into each end of the opening and set your Kindle up with the base braced by one straw/pencil and the stand braced against the other. VOILA ... or, as the Brits would say, Bob's yer uncle!!!
Nice ProductNov 14, 2008
By Jenny B. Tennant Fit the Kindle perfectly, and the buttons might even work better (less touchy). The stand was pointless and I wound up cutting all the rubber nubbins off of the back. Protects the Kindle in case it is dropped, and looks good, too.
