By S. Mcshane I use my Kindle quite heavily and the buttons were starting to yellow (Even with frequent cleanings). I ordered the skin to jazz up the look of my Kindle and to hopefully preserve it. The vinyl used on the skin decal is very high quality without being thick or bulky. It feels nice and smooth on the hands. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it is actually several decals that match up to create a uniform look. There weren't detailed instructions, but it was easy to figure out. I liked that the vinyl didn't stick to my kindle until I pressed on it pretty hard and rubbed it. It allowed me to line everything up just right before committing. One of the decals I put on wonky by accident. It peeled right off, and I was able to align it and press it back on with no problem.
Advice for applying the decals: Take a pair of sharp or angled tweezers and pull out the removable parts (i.e. the holes for the qwerty keyboard buttons) before peeling the decal off of the backing. I didn't realize there were several little holes for the vent on the back of the kindle (To the right of the on/off buttons) and once I got the decal on, I had to use the tweezers to pull them off. When you peel the larger ones off the backing, the removable pieces tend to come with it, so I found it was much easier to pluck them out with the tweezers while it was still on the backing (You can bend the backing a little to get at the little inserts). Also, take care when peeling the larger pieces (such as the one for the back). Peel it gently and uniformly without pulling too hard. I found that when I peeled that large piece off I stretched it a bit. Luckily after a minute or two it shrunk back to its original shape. Lastly, clean your kindle really well before applying the product. I used an alcohol wipe to get the oils and dirt off. It really made the application go a lot smoother.
Now that it is all put together, I love it! It looks great, and really jazzes things up. The other thing not mentioned in the product description is that it comes with a free screensaver you can download that completes the design of the skin. I downloaded it onto my computer, but the directions for installing it on my kindle are a little confusing (I use a MacBook, not a PC) so I am having a hard time getting the screensaver to load over to the Kindle.

By S. Westfield Arrived in a timely fashion. I had to change mailing addresses after I ordered this and contacted the seller via email and they were able to do this hassle-free. The decal is very easy to place, even after several tries, making sure it's perfect, it sticks very well. Did not try to get the bonus screensaver so can't tell you what that looks like, the bonus cover for the kindle charger is very cute. If you're like me, with multiple gadgets and twice as many chargers, having a charger cover on the kindle is one less charger likely to get lost.Hope this helps you out.

I was a bit skeptical about using this decal but I wanted something to make my Kindle more stylish. This decal was incredibly easy to put on. I didn't even need tweezers I just put it on with my fingers. Since the decals are easy to remove and reuseable, I was able to correct any mistakes I made with application. I think it took me about 10 minutes total to put everything on. I wasn't too fond of the piece for the back of the Kindle so I just left it off. Everything lined up perfectly and I even had a bonus matching decal to put on my Kindle charger. I will definitely be buying more of these!!!!
